How sun prints are made!

Sun prints, also known as cyanotypes, are a type of photographic print that is created using the power of the sun. The process is simple, yet produces beautiful and unique results.

To create a sun print, you will need a light-sensitive material, such as cyanotype paper, and a negative of the image you want to print. Place the negative on top of the paper and expose it to the sun for a few minutes. The sun will react with the chemicals in the paper to create a blue-tinted print.

Once the print is exposed, you will need to rinse it in water to remove the unexposed chemicals. Then, you can dry the print and enjoy your work of art!

Why I Love Sun Prints

As a graphic designer, I love the challenge of creating off of screens. Sun prints are a great way to do just that. The process is simple and straightforward, but the results can be incredibly beautiful.

I also love the fact that sun prints are a unique and personal way to express yourself. Each print is different, and there is no right or wrong way to do them.
